  11. NOSview [304] is now available.
  12.  
  13. NOSview, first introduced in September 1991, is an on-line
  14. documentation and runtime package for the KA9Q Network Operating
  15. System (NOS).  It contains:

  19. ***  probably the only complete reference work anywhere that
  20.      describes all of the commands to be found in the major NOS
  21.      releases.
  22.  
  23. ***  a TSR file viewer that lets you read the NOSview
  24.      documentation on-line, without breaking out of NOS.
  25.  
  26. ***  NOSgas: the "NOS Get-Away Special"  --  a complete set of
  27.      working NOS runtime software.
  28.  
  29. ***  a complete set of templates for the NOS control files.
  30.  
  31. ***  full details on how to get the book "NOSintro", which
  32.      describes in detail how TCP/IP works and how to use KA9Q
  33.      NOS.  Ideal for beginners to TCP/IP (and more advanced users
  34.      will find many gems of helpful information there as well).

  39. NOSview [304] contains many new documentation files, and the
  40. template NOS control files match the listings in "NOSintro".  The
  41. PA0GRI version 2.0m of NOS is also included.

  52. To install the package, extract the file !!README.1ST from the
  53. NOSview distribution file (NOSVW304.ZIP), then follow the
  54. instructions in !!README.1ST.

  63. How to get NOSview
  64. ------------------
  65. By now, NOSview should be available on the major bulletin boards
  66. throughout the world, and also via Internet on "ucsd.edu" in
  67. directory "hamradio/packet/tcpip/docs".

  69. Look for two files:
  70.  
  71.   NOSVIEW.ZIP  (which just contains the file you are reading now)
  72.   NOSVW304.ZIP (which contains the complete NOSview package)
  73.  
  74. As NOSVW304.ZIP is quite large (around 700 KB), you may prefer
  75. instead to get your copy by mailing a DOS-formatted diskette (any
  76. size EXCEPT 360 KB) and return mailer to:
